AI & Call-Recording Disclosure

If you called a business and reached a Zeenphi AI agent, here's what that means, and how the call was handled.

Effective date: July 9, 2026  ·  Last updated: July 9, 2026

Before this page goes liveState-level rules on disclosing AI voice agents to callers are new and still evolving. The specific statutes marked like this need to be confirmed with Acerti Legal, and re-checked periodically as more states pass AI-disclosure laws.

1.What You're Talking To

If you called a business that uses Zeenphi, your call may have been answered by our AI voice agent rather than a live person. The agent is built to speak naturally and handle routine calls: answering questions, booking appointments, and taking messages. Most callers can't tell the difference in the moment — but if you ask whether you're speaking with an AI, the agent will tell you. If you'd rather speak with a person, ask, and the call can be transferred to the business directly where that option is set up, or you can request a callback.

2.Who's Responsible for the Call

The AI agent works on behalf of the business you called, not on behalf of Zeenphi directly. That business is our Customer, and it decides how its agent is configured, what it says, and what it's authorized to do (like booking a job on its calendar). Zeenphi is the technology provider that builds and operates the agent for that business. If you have a complaint about how a specific call was handled, the business itself is the right first contact; if you're not able to resolve it with them, you can also reach us using the details in Section 5.

3.Call Recording

Calls answered by a Zeenphi AI agent are recorded and transcribed. This supports the booking, quality, and dispute-resolution purposes the business uses the service for.

Legal basis for recordingMost states allow call recording as long as one participant on the call knows about it (“one-party consent”); a smaller number of states require every participant to consent (“two-party” or “all-party consent”). In one-party consent states, Zeenphi's own knowledge, as the platform handling the call on the business's behalf, satisfies that requirement. [IF THE BUSINESS OR ITS CALLERS ARE LOCATED IN AN ALL-PARTY-CONSENT STATE, CONFIRM ADDITIONAL DISCLOSURE REQUIREMENTS WITH COUNSEL]

Recordings and transcripts are retained for 90 days from the date of the call by default, then automatically deleted, as described in our Privacy Policy.

4.We Only Answer — We Never Call Out

Zeenphi's AI agent is inbound-only: it answers calls that a caller places to one of our Customers, and it never places outbound calls, runs automated dialing, or conducts telemarketing of any kind. If you received an unsolicited call claiming to be from Zeenphi or one of our Customers' AI agents, it did not come from our platform.
